Therapy for Neurodivergent Adolescents and Adults in Austin Texas

Calling all neurodivergent people who have a big list of other diagnoses! I made this practice just for you. I provide integrative counseling which means I use several different frameworks to provide counseling and therapy so that we work in a way that really fits your unique personality and needs. This seems to work really well for my clients who have been diagnosed with many things throughout their lives only to find out that autism or ADHD have been at the core all this time. And now there’s OCD, PTSD, substance used because self medicating has been a coping tool etc… If that sounds familiar, please continue to explore my website and reach out if you have any questions.

You are welcome here.

Because complicated can be beautiful.

Sonya is a very knowledgeable and creative therapist who shows genuine care for the people she works with. I have benefited from her impressive knowledge of neurodivergence and know that she brings a great deal of information and insight into her work.”

About Interwoven Healing

When I set out to create my own practice, I wanted to build a community where neurodivergent teens and adults could get what they need, particularly when there are intersections of neurodivergence plus addiction or OCD or trauma or all of the above. Those things are complicated, and they are especially complicated when you throw autism/ADHD in the mix! So as a person with lived experience as well as clinical experience I created: Interwoven Healing a space for thoughtful, compassionate exploration. At the heart of this work is a simple belief:

You don’t have to be reduced to be understood.

Instead of focusing only on symptoms or quick solutions, Interwoven Healing is grounded in the idea that meaningful change comes from understanding the full picture—your experiences, your relationships, your inner world, and how they all connect.

The name Interwoven Healing reflects this process.

Just as individual threads come together to create something whole, your thoughts, emotions, history, and identity all shape your experience. At times, those threads can feel tangled, frayed, or separate from each other.

Therapy becomes a space to notice those threads with care and curiosity, and to begin understanding how they fit together.

My approach to therapy is integrative and grounded in careful listening, curiosity, and collaboration.

Rather than pushing toward quick answers, I use thoughtful questions and reflection to help insight develop in a way that feels natural and meaningful.

Sonya is an exceptional clinician with an incredible depth of knowledge and expertise. She has a remarkable ability to make clients feel genuinely comfortable and seen while providing meaningful guidance and support.“

Client Experience

Clients often describe this work as insightful, warm, and different from what they’ve experienced before.

Our work moves at a pace that honors both your nervous system and your goals, allowing space for reflection, emotional processing, and meaningful insight. There is room for both depth and lightness—serious conversations alongside moments of humor and connection.

This is a space where you can be fully yourself, without needing to simplify or explain away your complexity.

Interwoven Healing is a good fit for individuals who are looking for more than surface-level solutions and feel ready to understand themselves more deeply.

Many clients who resonate with this work are:

neurodivergent individuals seeking affirming and understanding care
• healing from past relational or developmental trauma
• thoughtful, introspective, or emotionally aware
• creative or drawn to meaning, symbolism, and self-exploration
• spiritually curious, but not necessarily aligned with traditional religion
• navigating identity, belonging, or life transitions
• feeling like they have always experienced the world a little differently

You don’t need to have the “right” words for what you’re going through. Often, people come to therapy with a sense that something deeper is there, even if it’s hard to fully explain.

This is a space where we can begin to understand that together.
